Applying Topical Medications


Wear gloves to avoid self-absorption of the medication.



Remove medication from a jar with a clean tongue depresser.




Apply as directed to the affected area.






Applying Transdermal Medications


Wear gloves to avoid self-absorption of the medication.




Avoid tattooed sites, scar tissue, and other areas of skin impairment.




Do not place over hairy areas.



Rotate the sites to prevent skin irritation.
